Current research project

In reference to my previous research on urban development, I am currently taking part of the project "Doing the city: social spatial navigation and wayfinding". According to the aim of this project, my doctoral research is focus on social navigation according to climate season in Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso). As African cities has been seen as informal, unknown or elusive, my research aim to disagree with this northern perspective idea by observing and analyzing how city dwellers of Bobo-Dioulasso navigate and find their way in the city. The city faces some development challenges due to spread of urbanization in which this research tries to look into the strategies on how the city dwellers solve them.
